Coach and Player Development
The Zone has a pathway for both Coach and Player development.
This involves our Coaches learning and improving their own skills through personal observation and attendance at sessions run by other coaches and Regional Development Officers.
Our Coaches this year, were asked to be more aware of THEIR Player's Development. Two important aspects of this are Player Assessment to play at a level above their specific age and Player Evaluation and Development.
As well, in 2006 the Zone used a Sports Performance group to assist both coaches and players understand nutrition in young athletes at least a little better.
Complete Performance Solutions
was the company we chose. Leanne Hammond presented the following to all Zone Teams and Coaches - Young Athletes.
Many of the files we make available here were created in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. We realise not everyone has acces to Microsoft Office but as you must have access to the internet to read this we are happy to provide a link to the Microsoft website which has VIEWERS available in order to access our files. These may vary in size of download.
Another option is to download Open Office - which is an open source program suite with similar abilities to MS Office. This file is not small at over 90Mb but is very useful and compatible with Office files.
Other files are uploaded in PDF format. A PDF file reader is available from Adobe. Again, this not a 'small' file but very useful.
Some of these products are also available via CD's / DVD's attached to publications at your Newsagent.
