  Season 2008 has seen the introduction of the Rebel Sport Junior Premier League.

10 July 2008 - Memo from Zone President following a player request to 'rejoin' their Club Team for games in the rest of Season 2008 (as well as fulfill RSJPL committments).

3 July 2008 - Following the Northern Round Robin in Townsville over the last few days, several Football Wide Bay players were selected to Queensland Country Squads for further evaluation at a camp currently in progress.

This is a totally new way of selection and playing for our Teams. The Zone has four (4) Boys Teams involved - U12, U13, U14 and U15, as well as a Girls U13 Team.
